Luke at 18 months

Luke had his half-birthday last week!
I love how his little personality shines through in this picture!

I can't believe my little baby is already a year and a half! To celebrate, I thought it would be fun to do a week's worth of posts all about Luke at this age. Each day I'll cover something different, from schedules to cloth diapers to his developmental delay. Today I'll start my mini series with the basics.

At 18-months-old, Luke:

weighs: 26lbs, 15oz

measures: 33.25" tall
(this puts him in the 75th percentile for height and between the 50-75th percentile for weight)

loves to eat: goldfish, grapes & quaker oatmeal squares (& maybe chocolate chips, too)
but he will try almost anything! hallelujah!

sleeps: about 10-11 hours every night and still naps for two-three hours every day

wears: a size five disposable diaper, size 6.5 WIDE shoes & 18-24 month clothes,
with some 2T tops and jammies occasionally

enjoys: being outside, reading books, shopping with mom

says: "mamamaaaa" for me and "cuuk" when he wants you to play with him/help him

moves: everywhere! Luke walks & runs like a champion (woohoo!)

This age is seriously SO MUCH FUN. I love being able to play together. And even though Luke isn't communicating with words or signs, he IS very receptive to communication and is understanding more and more of what we say. I didn't think I could fall in love with my boy any more, but this age has proved me wrong! I love being a toddler boy mom!

After having two girls (now ages 22 mo & 4 yr), I can honestly say that hitting the 18 month mark is such a relief! Life seems more manageable and exciting. :) So happy to see he is trying new foods.

I love how similar our boys are. Seriously, they MUST meet. This really is the BEST age!!!

I'm so happy he is trying everything and not being so difficult when it comes to eating. Look at his sleep schedule, I'm so jealous!!! Good for him, good for you!

Say what?? He's eating all kinds of foods? That is awesome news.

He is SO cute! And Avery will not eat anything! But it's partly my fault because BB (Before baby) I always said how much I could not stand kids that were picky eaters. Silly Meghan.

Yeah, when did the food corner get turned?!?! And how did it happen?? Great update, looking forward to the rest. Laughing at Meg G up there ^^ - I totally relate - I also thought that picky eaters were super annoying and there must be something wrong with their parents to "allow" them to be that way. hahahahahahaha. joke's on me.

I agree! Every time you think it can't get any better it does! Each stage is new and exciting
